Welcome to Aegle! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aegle mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old and are legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you are accessing or using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Medical Disclaimer

Aegle is a digital health companion designed to help individuals with type 2 diabetes and prediabetes better understand their glucose patterns. It provides educational insights and suggestions based on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data. AEGLE IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional for any medical concerns, diagnosis, or treatment decisions. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on the Service.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems or networks.
• Upload or transmit any viruses, worms, or other malicious code.
• Collect or store any personally identifiable information from the Service without explicit consent.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of Aegle or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Account Termination and Data Removal

You may terminate your account and request the deletion of your personal data at any time. To do so, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Account Termination and Data Removal Request."

In your email, please include:

• Your full name associated with the account.
• The email address used to register your account.
• A brief reason for your request (optional, but helps us improve).

Upon receiving your request, we will:

• Confirm your identity to ensure the security of your data.
• Initiate the termination of your account and all associated personal data from our active databases.
• Ensure that your health data (including CGM data) is permanently removed.
• Provide you with confirmation once the termination process is complete.

Please note that while most data will be removed promptly, some residual data may remain in our backup systems for a limited period due to technical and operational requirements. This data will be securely isolated and eventually purged in accordance with our data retention policies. We aim to complete all data removal requests within 30 days of verified receipt.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
